I love lists.
When I have multiple projects all happening at the same time, I try to take it step by step, according to due date. Every one of my clients is important to me and I try to keep that in mind when the emails are pouring in with questions, pricing inquiries, payments, and more. I get it, you want to know what’s happening with your money and you have every right to inquire. So I
can imagine when it comes to planning a whole wedding and seeing those dollar bills fly out in every direction.
Make yourself a nice list, do your research, be confident in your decisions. It’s the only way to feel prepared for your special day. When you are making a list, use things like Google Docs and have a page for every aspect of it, like, Decor, Video, Photo, Venues, Flowers, and an Excel Sheet for your total expenses so you can track how well you are doing within your budget.
This blog post inspiration came to me today while doing the same for my taxes, unrelated to planning a wedding but it reminds me how important it is to be organized, sorting out my expenses like gas, gear, cell phone, and even things like using the 407 to visit my clients or get to a location in a hurry.
When I say do your research, I don’t mean to put pressure on you, its more, see what’s out there, see what kind of quality vendors are offering for what price. For photography and video, check out your vendors portfolio, at the end of the day, you have to like what you see and believe in their work. I never over promise, but I try to over deliver, surprising my clients with a good experience.
Come in for a consultation, let’s chat about what you need, so I can try to help you help me. Of course, I have a business to run, but I also choose my clients wisely. I like to see who I am working with as well and optimize my services for them and have a good experience through and through.
Thank you for visiting my website and taking interest in my work, I take pride in the photo and videos I give, and love doing what I do. I hope to have your wedding or engagement on my list soon!
