I am so blessed to have the most wonderful clients in the world. I met Lara at her make up trial about two years ago and we got to talking about her wedding… only a few months away. She had decided early on that perhaps photography would be enough, and didn’t know if she wanted video coverage for her wedding. Being a photographer and cinematographer, I can see the value of both art mediums, and didn’t blame her… Weddings are expensive! Once things start adding up, one thing then another, it can be very overwhelming.  But after a short chat, I could see she wanted it. So I made it happen. Customizing a package especially for her situation, we closed the deal soon after. Over the last two years, I have been lucky to now call Lara and Adrian my friends, and have done many small projects together. And had the pleasure of filming her sister’s wedding (to be posted soon!) a year later… I am so grateful that I got to be a part of their special day and had so much fun making memories with these two! Thank you L and A for being so kind, and the […]

I love lists. When I have multiple projects all happening at the same time, I try to take it step by step, according to due date. Every one of my clients is important to me and I try to keep that in mind when the emails are pouring in with questions, pricing inquiries, payments, and more. I get it, you want to know what’s happening with your money and you have every right to inquire. So I can imagine when it comes to planning a whole wedding and seeing those dollar bills fly out in every direction. Make yourself a nice list, do your research, be confident in your decisions.  It’s the only way to feel prepared for your special day. When you are making a list, use things like Google Docs and have a page for every aspect of it, like, Decor, Video, Photo, Venues, Flowers, and an Excel Sheet for your total expenses so you can track how well you are doing within your budget. This blog post inspiration came to me today while doing the same for my taxes, unrelated to planning a wedding but it reminds me how important it is to be organized, sorting out […]

When I have a session for head shots, I ask my clients where exactly they plan on using this picture and then I help them pose for it. I aim to help you look like the best version of yourself on camera, so that your head shot can do some of the work for you.  For more information about head shots, visit my page above under the Other Works tab. My packages sessions include: Make up and Hair Styling One on one photography session  Retouching

There is so much that goes into a wedding, we all know that. And it doesn’t happen over night.  Some brides (and grooms too, but let’s be real here, it all her) decide to take on this challenge on their own. Some prefer to enlist the help of wedding planners and decor specialists. Are we going to have flowers? Or candles? What is our colour theme? Do we need chair covers? And the list of questions goes on… Having been on the scene during the set up of our Stylized Bridal Shoots, which you can view in my photography portfolio, it is crazy how much time and thought goes into making things “look nice.” Everything is placed strategically, making sure that things are symmetrical, beautiful, and not a fire hazard. While you don’t need 100 pictures of the center pieces, you do need a few artistically captured photos just for your memories, whether to appreciate your masterpiece down the road, or to laugh even at the disaster it was. (Red table clothes, what was I thinking?!) So what’s your plan? Do It Yourself Venture!  There are also amazing DIY decor inspirations on Pinterest that are absolutely stunning and great for the […]
