Ask any wedding photographer in September what they did this summer, and you probably won’t hear: I went on vacay! Just relaxed by the pool. Spent time with family and friends. Worked on the house. We don’t hibernate when summer is over because of the weather, but because of all the editing we have to do from the summer wedding season. So far, I have been so honoured to witness the joining of lives of some of my beautiful friends, including Andy and Carmela Di Martino (Check out Andy at Amici Spa in Markham, he is amazing with hair!) and blushing bride Ashley and Derek. Every detail adds a special touch and I love showing up and seeing what decor the couple has come up with… from sparkly backdrops, to cupcakes, to martini bars, and smoke machines! It is quite the show! And trust me, I am taking notes of all the things I liked or thought were super unique. So brides, perhaps I should thank you for making my decisions easy for when my time comes! The photos featured in this blog post of these two weddings always make me smile; I loved being a part of these life […]

No one said being an entrepreneur would be easy. In the last 2 years of officially being in business for myself, as with most jobs that require customer services, I have met all kinds of people; some that have a special place forever in my heart, and others… well. Without become a bitter artist, and complaining about my worth and knowledge of my trade, etc, I just want to remind the world to be kind. Just be kind. We all have our place in this world, we all have strengths and weaknesses, and different talents. Regardless of what you do, you want people to treat you with respect and appreciation. As an artist, I have had all kinds of reactions to my art. Some love it, some are indifferent. I get it, I respect that visually, we all like different things. But again, BE KIND. For those of you that know me personally, you know I go above and beyond to make you happy. I care, not only because this is my business, but because I love what I do.  I love making beautiful things. Now, the inspiration for this article came from a most recent experience, just a few […]

I am so blessed to have the most wonderful clients in the world. I met Lara at her make up trial about two years ago and we got to talking about her wedding… only a few months away. She had decided early on that perhaps photography would be enough, and didn’t know if she wanted video coverage for her wedding. Being a photographer and cinematographer, I can see the value of both art mediums, and didn’t blame her… Weddings are expensive! Once things start adding up, one thing then another, it can be very overwhelming.  But after a short chat, I could see she wanted it. So I made it happen. Customizing a package especially for her situation, we closed the deal soon after. Over the last two years, I have been lucky to now call Lara and Adrian my friends, and have done many small projects together. And had the pleasure of filming her sister’s wedding (to be posted soon!) a year later… I am so grateful that I got to be a part of their special day and had so much fun making memories with these two! Thank you L and A for being so kind, and the […]
